Bioluminescence Kayak Tour
1.Bioluminescence Kayak Tour
Launch from 951 Kiwanis Island Park Road near Merritt Island for a two-hour guided night kayak trip. In summer, look for blue-green dinoflagellate glow. From late November through April, you may catch harmless comb jellies by hand. Guides such as Matt, Aidan, Caleb, and Zoey add safety tips and useful local insight.

“Sean was the best guide we could have had for my family! He totally geeked out with the biology of how bioluminescence works and why it happens. I mean right down to the molecular details!! It was awesome! My 16 yo son was captivated: masking questions and bantering with Sean. It was so great to see and he didn’t even want to go on this kayak! Sean was funny and engaging with the whole group, paddling backwards for most of the trip making sure we all were together and knew everything that was going on around us from the manatees to the mullets swimming and darting like lightning flashes around…”
